Over 2022 & 2023 CMMCP conducted community surveys throughout the fishing communities of Kampot and Kep. In each community, two fishermen were chosen to work together with the CMMCP as citizen scientists. They were given specially designed calendars. On their calendars they record their marine mammal sightings while fishing and note down the species, where it was seen, if there was a stranding and if there are any other remarks or important information. The CMMCP team is collection the calendars every two month. Below you will find distribution of Sightings Maps for Dugong seen by the Communities.
